Our state of the art coarse fish hatchery is the only one of its kind in Northern Ireland. It operates on a recirculation basis thus allowing us to have complete control over growth rates and spawning times. Spawning of the coarse fish species begins in May of each year and carries on through to July depending on the species. All fish larvae hatched are then fed on a live diet of artemia for 4 weeks before being weaned onto a commercial dry diet. The fish are then ongrown in our recirculation system for up 12 months before being stocked out into suitable stillwater loughs.
